Data Scientist | Applied Mathematician | Tech Nerd

I am a London-based Data Scientist with a PhD in Applied Mathematics. For the past year, I have been building and deploying statistical & machine learning models for clients at Faculty. On top of technical work, I enjoy demystifying machine learning and data science for the layperson.

In a past life I used mathematical modelling, Monte Carlo simulation methods and data analysis to tackle complex interdisciplinary problems in the research sector. In 2019, I received my PhD in Applied Mathematics from King’s College London. I spent 4 years working in the Disordered Systems group, where I developed models of gene regulatory networks to understand cellular identity and cell state transitions.

After my PhD, I worked in collaboration with King’s College London and ClickSymptoms to develop an algorithm which gives probable diagnoses for musculoskeletal conditions based on patient symptoms. During this time, I developed and documented the algorithm as a Python package for ClickSymptoms.

I then moved to the London Institute for Mathematical Sciences, where I continued to work on mathematical models for cell programming.
